Regis Francis Xavier Philbin[1][2] (; August 25, 1931 – July 24, 2020) was an American media personality, actor and singer, known for hosting talk and game shows since the 1960s.[3] Sometimes called (alternatively attributed to James Brown) "the hardest working man in show business",[4][5] he held the world record for the most time spent in front of a television camera.[6] He was most widely known for Live!
