Charles G. Morris received his B.A. from Yale University (1962) and his M.A. (1964) and Ph.D. (1965) in psychology from the University of Illinois.

He joined the University of Michigan in 1965 where he served until his retirement in 2002.

From 1972-1977 he served as Associate Dean in the College of Literature, Science and the Arts. From 1980-1990, he served as Associate Chair of the Department of Psychology.

He is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association and the American Psychological Society.
